Unusual Washbasin

On holiday recently we went to a shopping mall at Loures just north of Lisbon. It was a well-designed, brightly coloured shopping centre which we liked. We were very impressed by the brighly coloured and originally designed wash handbasins in the 'bogs'.

 unusual basin

Instead of having individual basins with depth there was an inclined glass plate underneath the tap that drained into the wall. Under the plate were brightly coloured patterns.

 loures sink

The patterns under the glass varied from toilet to toilet. However they seemed to drain effectively and were more cheerful than the usual white ones.

Yes around here they are designing a LOT with colours, and so.
Well we love it :D

Didn't know you, (only now i'm understanding it :)) ), came to Portugal on holidays!

Yes, we had our first family holiday in Portugal from 14-30 August. We all loved your country.

We loved the Loures shopping centre with its good design and bright colours. We loved the coast and islands and my sons enjoyed the surf at Lagide and Supertubos.

I loved seeing the fish sellers. I just wish I knew more of the fish varieties (we get North Atlantic fish and I think you get a bigger variety) and of course more than a few words of Portuguese.

Yes it's lovely isn't it? I'm not saying this because i borned here or i live here, i know already all the country..also because my studies,etc. ..but i learned to see how beautiful it is, full of History, amazings architectures, beautiful landscapes and so. yes, is very beautiful :) you will all return here :))

I know Loures well, as i'm a Lisbonner Loures is near the place where i live just i live by the beaches, Estoril Lane.
I'm sure your sons loved Supertubos, ericeira, Peniche and so, as we use to have there great waves to windsurf or surf :D

About the fish varieties that's true we have from the South and fom the North, lots of it. Oh Portuguese it's easy to learn :)
